Death of a Drone

Pain flaring behind the eyes.
The mind screaming silent cries.
A plume of rage engulfs the brain.
Fear of release a terrifying drain.
A bunged cask of sparkling hate,
Must be relieved before it’s too late
Tension building beneath the temple,
Nervous energy sets the body a-tremble.
The will to stay silent doesn’t live here
A nick in the soul foretells a tear.
With gushing bile and loss of self
Humanity languishing high on a shelf.
Flaring pain behind the eyes,
A moment’s flash, and the spirit dies.
